Classic Rally Journeys
The Videos
Warning!
Vintage attitude included!
Here they are. The classic rally journey videos from some of our rallies.
Why not join us on some of our classic car rally trips? Via video.
But be warned!
Some of the footage in the classic rally journey videos shows fish being eaten, cigars/cigarettes being smoked and alcohol (mostly champagne) being consumed, along with the enthusiastic use of high-displacement engines.
There is also no gender-neutral language whatsoever, and certain scenes are cheeky and most definitely not free of humor.
Some in English, some in German – mostly a rally-style language mix.
You’ve been warned.
Enjoy!

La Carrera Costa Rica
Classic rally journey: March 2025
Mercedes-Benz Classic Magazine visited us in Costa Rica for a feature about classic Mercedes-Benz culture in Central America.
The schedule was tight: a Mercedes-Benz classic meet-up with BBQ, a visit to the oldest MB workshop in Costa Rica, a few days at our Hacienda Equis, and of course – we drove parts of our rally routes.
By the way: Alexander Lutz Villalta from NORKO played at a Pacific beach campfire on a legendary Fender Guild – signed by Marius Müller-Westernhagen himself (his former No.1 guitar from the “Radio Maria” tour) … boredom? Nowhere in sight.
Fun fact: Editor-in-Chief Jörg Heuer and professional photographer David Klammer didn’t exactly make it easy for us – they pushed everyone pretty hard for the story.
Thanks, guys – it was a blast working with you.
Great job!

The fuel tank drama – sponsored by incompetence.
The fuel tank of our Mercedes-Benz 560 SL had a few harmless signs of surface rust – nothing dramatic. So we thought we’d do the sensible thing and replace it with a brand new tank from JP Group Dansk. Smart move, right?
Wrong. The Dansk tank arrived with built-in “premium leakage technology” and kindly sprayed fuel around the filler neck during one of our classic rally journeys – removing paint in the process.
Outstanding craftsmanship.

This video is our small tribute to both companies – a token of appreciation for their extraordinary dedication to not giving a damn.
Cheers.
